Overview

A plant in SAP does not necessarily equate to physical production plant. A production facility is typically called a plant in business parlance; however, a plant, which is denoted by a four-character alphanumeric in SAP, can represent a company’s headquarter, a manufacturing facility, a central sales office, a central warehouse, or even a maintenance location.
