Overview

The user interface or user experience (UX) that complements and can replace the SAP GUI is SAP Fiori. This simplified framework uses tiles to encapsulate standard activities, such as approving purchasing criteria, displaying sales orders, and approving timesheets. The Fiori application screens are simple, customizable, and modern, and there are none of the unnecessary tabs and fields the previous UX had. The UX also provides mobile deployment capabilities so users can work without needing access to a computer. In comparison to the SAP GUI, a mouse-and-keyboard structure, Fiori-based applications can be used on a range of handheld devices.
