There are three types of Fiori applications - Transaction Apps, Factsheet apps, Analytical Apps. There are around 1000+ SAP Fiori user-role based applications. SAP suggest that the front-end components with the UI layer be isolated from the back-end components containing the business logic and back-end data when installing SAP Fiori applications.

All SAP Fiori applications can be accessed both internally via intranet and externally via internet. SAP recommends using the web dispatcher as reverse proxy for fact sheet and analytical application.
