Overview

Profit centers are internal units that enable efficient controlling measures. In essence, they are enterprise units in accounting aid in the evaluation of the profit or loss of independent areas within a company. On the other hand, cost centers are basically locations where costs are incurred. They are enterprise units within a controlling area.
