What is Customer Exit in SAP ABAP?

Customer Exit is an enhancement technique provided by SAP to add your own functionality to SAP standard business applications without modifying standard applications.

SAP provides customer exits for programs, exits and menus. These can be called hooks, you can add the logic in given customer exits since these customer exits do not include any functionality inside it.
