What is Menu Exit in SAP ABAP?

Menu exit is an enhancement technique provided by SAP to add items to pull down menus in SAP standard applications. You can call your own screens or call entire add on applications using Menu Exit.

SAP provides Menu Exits by defining special menu items in Menu Painter. These special menu items have function codes that start with a plus sign. You can define menu item text when activating the add on project too.
