What is a cloud credit balance in the SAP Cloud Platform?

Customers get a monthly balance statement with consumption and balance of credits for the current credit period. Cloud credits expire if they are unused at the end of each credit period.

Overages (exceeding available cloud credits) are invoiced according to the list price of the price guarantee. A detailed summary of cloud credits is provided on the SAP Cloud Platform cockpit.
