You can call virtual machines from Java Compute Unit, or dedicated HANA instance in the virtual machine subaccount. You need to configure particular security group rules in the virtual machine to enable this communication.

You cannot communicate directly using HTML5 applications. You can communicate using a public HTTPS endpoint in a virtual machine from and to other SAP Cloud Platform programming models.
