Master data typically refers to a set of data that is kept in the database for an extended period. Unlike transactional data, master data records are also not subject to frequent changes. The master data used in the Production Planning module includes material master data, the bill of materials, work center, routing and production version. Variants of master data exists for the specific type of production.
