Batch & expires on &

What causes this issue?

An expiry date is specified for this <GL:batch>batch</>. This date is
either already in the past, or it comes before the delivery date.

System Response

An error message is produced when this batch is manually entered in the
delivery. If this error occurs when a delivery is being created for a
sales order, the order item will not be delivered.

How to fix this error?

Specifying a batch in the delivery
Enter a batch with an expiry date far enough in the future.
Creating a delivery for a sales order
Correct the order item as appropriate.
