Quantity role profile for item type &1 invalid

What causes this issue?

You have attempted to create a warehouse request containing a kit header
item. These items are received and stored in Extended Warehouse
Management (EWM) as information only. You cannot process them (for
example, EWM cannot create any warehouse tasks for these items. The
creation of warehouse tasks for these items is controlled by
appropriately defined quantity offsetting profiles assigned to the item
type.
The system will check the quantity offsetting profile assigned to the
item type. In the case of this profile, you must have deactivated the
following quantity roles:
GI,,Goods issue quantity
W1,,Planned quantity for picking
PI,,Picking
LO,,Loading
PA,,Packing

System Response

If you have activated one of the quantity roles, EWM triggers an error
and creates the item with errors, so that neither you nor EWM can
process it.

How to fix this error?

Assign a quantity offsetting profile in which these quantity roles are
deactivated to the item type. A standard profile that you can use is
supplied. More information is available under
<DS:SIMG./SCWM/KITTING>Make Settings for Kitting</>.
Proceed as follows:
Check in the <DS:SIMG./SCDL/TITMTYPE_OUT>definition of item types for
the outbound delivery process</> which quantity offsetting profile is
assigned to the item type.
Check which quantities are activated for this
<DS:SIMG./QOS/VC_CPROF>quantity offsetting profile</>.
If one of the above-mentioned quantity roles is activated in the
profile, deactivate this role or roles or create a new profile in which
you deactivate these quantity roles. Assign the profile to the item
type.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
