What causes this issue?

You have carried out an item split for a kit in an outbound delivery.
Serial numbers exist for the components of the kit. It is possible that
the system will not automatically reassign these numbers to the new
delivery items (e.g. in the case of unpacked items).
You must reassign these serial numbers manually after the split, because
the system cannot automatically decide which new items the serial
numbers of the old items are to be reassigned to.


System Response

The item split cannot be carried out. A warning message is noted in the
error log for the delivery for the user's information.


How to fix this error?

Now reassign the serial numbers from the original delivery items of the
kit to the new delivery items of the kit manually.
Maintain the serial numbers for the new delivery items
Delete the serial numbers for the old delivery items


Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
