The substitution procedure &1 contains a cycle

What causes this issue?

Substitution procedure &V1& contains a closed cycle; that is, some of
the products or locations used are "lead back" to themselves after
several substitutions.
This is not possible because it can lead to runtime errors.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

System Response

The system does not update substitution procedure &V1&. All
substitution procedures without errors can be updated. The calling
application can decide if it executes a COMMIT WORK in spite of the
error.

How to fix this error?

Correct the incorrect entry and repeat the call.
