Characteristic "&1" requires "&2" in general data selection

What causes this issue?

You have selected characteristic "&V1&" in a column or row. However,
characteristic "&V1&" is dependent on characteristic "&V2&" and it
therefore cannot stand on its own in a planning layout.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

In the general selections, remove the higher-level characteristic "&V2&
" from the layout.
