Exception & during call of function module NAMETAB_GET with table &

What causes this issue?

When the function module NAMETAB_GET is called, an exception is
generated in conjunction with the specified table.
Exception:
1: Internal error
2: Table has no fields
3: Table does not exist in active form

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
