Copy control does not exist for settlement document type &

What causes this issue?

The system tried to read the copy control for settlement management
document &V1& for &V2& &V3&.
There are two possible reasons for the error:
Copy control is not maintained for the above key.
Not enough reference data has been entered (for example<(>,<)> the
settlement document type for the settlement document list is missing in
a previous document).
