Inventory check not possible for subst. mat. &1 at DC &2

What causes this issue?

If the inventory check is active, the system can only perform an
inventory check at the DC for a substitution material if <ZH>
quantity-based</> inventory management is performed there for the
material.

System Response

The system does not run an inventory check for value-based inventory
management or inventory management at merchandise category level.
In this case, the system behaves as if the inventory check were
deactivated.

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
