The EAN category for the EAN & allows numeric entries only

What causes this issue?

You have entered an alphanumeric EAN (International Article Number),
but the <DS:GLOS.EAN_category>EAN category</> to which the EAN is
assigned allows only numeric EANs.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Enter a numeric EAN.
