It is not possible to access information system using selection variant &

What causes this issue?

When calling the detail display of planned/actual key figures for a
material, an incorrect system setting meant that a selection variant
was used which led to an error accessing the information system.
In markdown planning, two selection variants are needed to read actual
values from the information system and compare the planned figures for
a markdown plan. You can maintain these variants in Customizing and
must give them the indicators MDFV1 and MDFV2.
The system uses MDFV1 to read the stock key figures from the assigned
stock information system. These key figures are displayed in the header
of the detail screen.
The system uses MDFV2 to read the period-specific key figures from the
assigned information system. These are displayed according to price
phase in the items on the detail screen.

System Response

You cannot go from the planned/actual values to the detail display.

How to fix this error?

Correct the <DS:SIMG.W_ZF_VK_0463>selection variants</> in Customizing.
If you do not want to use the selection variants in the standard
system, you cannot create new selection variants. Instead you must
assign your own information structures. Please note that a non-period-
specific stock structure must be a assigned to MDFV1, and a period-
specific information structure must be assigned to MDFV2, using the
period split 'week'. You must not change the Customizing detail screens
for the selection variants. This means that the information structures
must contain the field names which are used in standard Customizing.
