Batch/Val.type split only possible if no serial numbers are maintained

What causes this issue?

You cannot carry out a batch/valuation type split.

System Response

You can only carry out a batch split for materials handled in batches
with serial numbers if no serial numbers have been assigned.

How to fix this error?

You have to cancel the serial numbers. Then you can carry out a batch
split.
