Changing the maximum capacity can lead to inconsistencies

What causes this issue?

If you change the maximum capacity of a storage bin, the free capacity
is changed by this difference. If this newly calculated free capacity is
less than or equal to zero, the system sets the free capacity to zero.
The system determines the used capacity displayed from the difference
between the maximum capacity and the free capacity.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Only change the maximum capacity if the corresponding storage bin is
empty, or if it is absolutely essential. For example, the capacity of
the storage bin changes due to structural measures. Make sure that you
do not enter a value for the maximum capacity that is smaller than the
current used capacity.
