Item type &1 has the wrong item category &2

What causes this issue?

For the delivery item, the system determined item type &V1& of category
&V2&. The expected result was item category &V3&.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Procedure for System Administrators

Change the assignment of the external delivery item category to the
item type, or create the item type in Customizing.
Choose <DS:SIMG./SCDL/TITMTYPE_INB>Define Item Types for Inbound
Delivery Process</> and create item types for the goods receipt process.
Choose <DS:SIMG./SCDL/TITMTYPE_OUT>Define Item Types for Outbound
Delivery Process</> and create item types for the goods issue process.
Choose the following, depending whether you assigned the external
delivery item category to the item type using standard Customizing or
using your own BAdI implementation:
<DS:SIMG./SCWM/TMAPDLVTYP>Map Document Types from ERP System to EWM
System</>, and assign the external delivery item category to the item
type.
Choose the BAdI implementation in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for
Supply Chain Management under <ZK>Extended Warehouse Management ->
Business Add-Ins for Extended Warehouse Management -> Integration
-> ERP Integration -> ERP-EWM Integration for the Delivery</>.
