Goods movement bin not determined or entered

What causes this issue?

During goods receipt posting, the system must determine the goods
movement bin to post the goods to. The system can determine the goods
movement bin in the following ways:
Based on non-delivery data (usually transportation unit (TU) data)
Based on the delivery item
In this situation, the system cannot automatically determine the goods
movement bin based on the delivery item and does not have the option of
determining the goods movement bin based on non-delivery data.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

If you want the system to determine a goods movement bin automatically,
contact your system administrator to check or configure the goods
movement bin determination.
If you do not want the system to determine a goods movement bin
automatically, manually enter a valid goods movement bin.

Procedure for System Administrators

Configure the goods movement bin determination according to your
business requirements. You can configure goods movement bin
determination using several strategies and sequences depending on your
business processes, as follows:
Door assignment based on the door for the delivery item
You can enter the door manually or the system can determine the door
automatically, for example, by using door determination or the door of
the related TU (if the delivery item is assigned to a TU).
To use door assignment, on the <LS>SAP Easy Access</> screen, choose
<LS>Extended Warehouse Management</> -> <LS>Master Data</> ->
<LS>Shipping and Receiving</> -> <LS>Assign Door Storage Bin and Supply
Chain Unit</>.

Production supply area based on the production supply area for the
delivery item
To use the production supply area, on the <LS>SAP Easy Access</> screen,
choose <LS>Extended Warehouse Management </>-> <LS>Master Data</> ->
<LS>Production Supply Area (PSA)</> -> <LS>Assign Bin to
PSA/Product/Entitled in Warehouse Number</>.
Source bin specified in the warehouse process in the Customizing
activity <LS>Define Warehouse Process Type</>
Staging bay for the delivery item
The delivery item must be relevant for goods receipt. The goods movement
bin is determined based on the type of delivery item, using the
following sequential strategies:
Standard items (not cargo items, production items, nor value-added
service items):
BAdI
Door assignment
Source bin
Staging bay
Items for production supply:
RESET N1
BAdI
Production supply area
Source bin
Staging bay
Cargo items:
RESET N1
