Posting of FWSD not allowed for this life cycle status

What causes this issue?

By choosing the <LS>Post </>button, you have attempted to post this
forwarding settlement document to Sales and Distribution (SD). However,
you cannot post the document when it is at one of the following life
cycle statuses:
<LS>Posting Started</>
<LS>Cancellation Requested</>

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

You must wait for SD to update the life cycle status before you can
continue processing the document.
