Location &1 of type &2 (BSG &3) already exists in APO

What causes this issue?

You want to transfer a location that already exists in SAP APO.
Example:
You want to transfer customer 1000 and vendor 1000 from SAP R/3 to SAP
APO. In SAP APO, both the customer and the vendor would be represented
as location 1000. However, two different locations must not have the
same name in SAP APO.

System Response

The system does not create the location.

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Procedure for System Administrators

If it is to be possible to transfer locations with the same name to SAP
APO, implement the customer exit EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLCIF_LOC_001.
