Events of event type &1 exist; the event type cannot be deleted

What causes this issue?

You want to delete an event type for which events exist in the system.

System Response

The system does not allow you to delete event types for which events
exist.

How to fix this error?

On the <LS>SAP Easy Access</> screen, choose <LS>Advanced Planning and
Optimization</> -> <LS>Demand Planning</> -> <LS>Planning</> ->
<LS>Promotion</> -> <LS>Mass Deletion of Events</>. After you have run
the report, try to delete the event type again.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
