Product allocation situations cannot be displayed (parameter missing?)

What causes this issue?

Product allocation situation cannot be displayed.
This message can appear if either the display module was called
incorrectly (missing parameters) or if product allocation was not
carried out.
Product allocation is not carried out if
no product allocation procedure is specified in the product master
the product allocation procedure of the product is not defined or
no product allocation step was defined in the product allocation
procedure used.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Check the product allocation control settings for the product
allocation procedure of the product.
