Defective QMAT record (&1 &2) transferred to update

What causes this issue?

An error occurred when the inspection setup was updated. A record
should be updated, that did not contain entries in the fields for the
material number or plant.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Report the error to SAP.
