Error reading & (RC = &)

What causes this issue?

It was not possible to read &V1& from the database. The return code
received is &V2&.
Either this is a database problem, or the relevant control tables are
inconsistent.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Please contact your systems administrator.
