SAP ArchiveLink (SAP kernel error)

What causes this issue?

A request was to be sent to an content server system.
The SAP kernel could not forward the request to the content server.

System Response

An error was reported by the SAP kernel.
Parameter RPCNR is too long.
The error occurred when calling the kernel function (programming
error).

How to fix this error?

The kernel functions of the content server connection should not be
used for your own programs. The content server functionality can only
be used via the SAP ArchiveLink function modules.
