What causes this issue?

Any existing entries are deleted before copying a package. An error
occurred here.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

There may be a memory problem. Check your lock table using the
<LS>System log</> function. For this function, choose <LS> Tools ->
Administration -> Monitoring -> System log</>.
