BOM explosion is not possible without "application" and "usage"

What causes this issue?

You want to explode a
<DS:GLOS.3526C3F9AFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>BOM item</>, but this is not
possible unless you specify a BOM application component and a BOM usage.

System Response

The system cannot explode the BOM.

How to fix this error?

To be able to explode the BOM, set the <LS>Show parameter to explode BOM
</> (
<DS:DE.MIGO_DEF_XBOM>MIGO_DEF_XBOM</>) indicator in the user-dependent
default values, by choosing <LS>Settings -> Default values</>.

Procedure for System Administrators

It is possible to define the settings in Customizing dependently of the
plant, with the
<DS:DE.STLAN>BOM usage</> and
<DS:DE.CAPID>BOM application</> indicators.
Choose in Inventory Management Customizing <LS>Inventory Management and
Physical Inventory -> Plant Parameters</>.
