External assignment of storage unit numbers is not allowed

What causes this issue?

You manually entered a <GL:storage_unit>storage unit</> number that
does not yet exist and would normally be created at this time. The
number you entered lies outside the number range interval that is
assigned to your warehouse. This number cannot be issued for your
warehouse number.

How to fix this error?

Check to see that the storage unit number you entered is correct.
