Maintenance modules for view & do not exist

What causes this issue?

In order to read the characteristic values of a particular
characteristic, the system uses a view which is generated in the ABAP/4
dictionary when creating a characteristic and then entered in Table
TVDIR. You need to generate the maintenance modules for this view using
program RSVIEWGN.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Execute program RSVIEWGN.
