What causes this issue?

This message tells you which <DS:GLOS.3526B72DAFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>
quantity structure</> was used by the
<DS:GLOS.3526B616AFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>cost estimate</> that
calculated the <DS:GLOS.3526B75FAFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>target costs</>
, and which quantity structure was used in the actuals.
The cost estimate that calculated the target costs did not use the
quantity structure used in the actuals.
This means that the cost estimate used a different combination of task
list type, task list group, and group counter than in the order itself
(such as the production order).
Example:
Suppose the target costs were calculated in the
<DS:GLOS.3526B6DFAFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>standard cost estimate</> for
the material, and that the standard cost estimate for the material is
based on the routing identified by task list type N, task list group
50000301, and group counter 1.
Now suppose the production order specifies a routing identified by task
list type N, task list group 50000301, and group counter 2. This would
lead to the error.

System Response

The system cannot calculate target costs for the valuation of work in
process or scrap.

How to fix this error?

Investigate the processing options available in Customizing for the
valuation variant for work in process and scrap. Consider using a
different cost estimate to calculate the target costs.
Investigate the features of User-Defined Error Management. With
User-Defined Error Management, you can redefine message KV181 so that it
is not issued as an error message. The system then only checks whether
the task list type and the task list group match, but not the group
counter.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
