Choose a characteristic

What causes this issue?

You forgot to select the characteristic you would like to insert.

How to fix this error?

You can only select one characteristic. To select a characteristic,
position the cursor at the beginning of the line.
You then have to specify the desired characteristic value for the
selected characteristic.
