Alternative profit center structure is not active in controlling area &1

What causes this issue?

You want to maintain a different profit center structure for
controlling area &V1&. However, in Customizing you set controlling area
&V1& up so that an alternative profit center structure is not included.

System Response

You cannot execute the required function.

How to fix this error?

Choose a different controlling area, for which an alternative profit
center structure is activated in Customizing, by choosing Controlling
-> Profit Center Accounting -> Enterprise Organization -> Enter
