Text table for characteristic & not found (check table &)

What causes this issue?

No text table could be found in the ABAP/4 Dictionary for the check
table for this characteristic field.

System Response

No texts are displayed for the values of this characteristic.

How to fix this error?

If you wish to display texts, you need to define and maintain a
text table. If a table already exists, check its definition.
"TEXT" should be contained in the foreign key of the ABAP/4 Dictionary.
