System could not calculate the target value

What causes this issue?

The system could not determine a target value. This could be due to the
following:
No functional relationship exists between the source cell and the
target cell.
The "Target value search" uses an algorithm to determine the number of
zeros for the function. It is possible that such algorithms cannot
determine a target value, even though the value exists.

System Response

The R/3 system cannot determine a target value.
