Characteristic '&1' requires '&2' (in lead column or gen. data selection)

What causes this issue?

You have set the characteric '&V1&' in the lead column. The
characteristic '&V1&' is attached to characteristic '&V2&'.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

The characteristic '&V2&' must be specified in the layout. Qualify it in
the general selections, or define a further lead column with this
characteristic. (Menu path: 'Edit --> Columns
--> New lead column')
