Handling unit &1 already in existence

What causes this issue?

You have tried to create a handling unit with an identification that
already exists with status 'existing'.

How to fix this error?

Check if the already existing handling unit can be deleted or assign a
new number to the currently created handling unit to guarantee that the
handling units can be identified clearly.
