What causes this issue?

The pay scale that you are trying to assign the employee to, is marked
as obsolete.

System Response

The system will not allow any employee to be assigned to a payscale
level that is marked obsolete.

How to fix this error?

In thethe Customizing for Payroll NPO,
<DS:SIMG.PY_UN_T7UNCONV_MATRI>Enter Conversion Matrix</>, the relevant
payscale must not be marked as obsolete.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
