Maintain number range for controlling area & transaction &

What causes this issue?

A number range must be defined in controlling area &V1&, transaction
&v2& for a document number to be allocated for posting. This is not the
case here.

System Response

Processing cannot begin without a number range.

How to fix this error?

Check the number range assignment in your controlling area. You may do
so in customizing for Cost Center Accounting.
