Posting date is initial

What causes this issue?

Fiscal year and period are derived from the posting date. The posting
date, however, is at the initial setting.

System Response

Fiscal year and period cannot be derived.

How to fix this error?

A system error has occurred. The posting date transferred must have a
legitimate value.
