What causes this issue?

When editing a data record in the import file, you entered a value in a
field whose length exceeds the field length.
This occurred, for example, in field &V1&.

System Response

The entered value is cut off at the maximum display length of the
field.

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
