Meter readings could not be extrapolated for device &1 and register &2

What causes this issue?

The system could not determine either enough meter reading results or a
period consumption as the basis of extrapolation.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Maintain a <DS:TRAN.EL56>period consumption</> for this register for at
least the periods to be extrapolated, but for which insufficient meter
reading results exist. Note the minimum percentage rate that determines
the representivity of a period for the base period.
