Incorrect cursor position or object is not included in navigation

What causes this issue?

An object which is not in the navigation was selected in an editor with
double click.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Check whether the cursor is positioned exactly on the name of the object
to whose definition you wish to navigate.
