What causes this issue?

You try to post one of the following postings:
A positive base quantity and a parallel quantity of zero
A positive parallel quantity and a base quantity of zero.
You can only perform this type of posting using a physical inventory.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Posting cannot be performed. Enter a base quantity and a parallel
quantity.
