SAP SEM save failed; your changes have been lost

What causes this issue?

The marketing project could not be saved because it was not successfully
saved in SAP Strategic Enterprise Management (SAP SEM). If the system
had continued with the save process, there would have been
inconsistencies between the datasets on the SAP CRM side and on the SAP
SEM side.

System Response

To avoid inconsistencies, the system terminated the save process and
undid all the changes you made in the marketing project.

How to fix this error?
