Material availability check cannot be carried out

What causes this issue?

The function 'check material availability' has been triggered either
manually or automatically (during order creation/order release).
However, the order type used does not allow availability checks.

How to fix this error?

To carry out availability checks, set the corresponding parameters in
the customizing menu for shop floor control.
